Studierende der mdw, vorgestellt von Stefan Mendl. In einer Serie von 4 Abenden erklingt die ganze Bandbreite der Kammermusik mit Klavier (vom Duo bis zum Quintett und Sextett) in diesem schönen Rahmen. Jedes der Konzerte wird von hervorragenden Studierenden der MDW gemeinsam mit Prof. Stefan Mendl gestaltet und präsentiert.

Loved by the critics and audience alike, pianist Antonio Chen Guang has performed across Europe, America, Africa, and Asia, in recitals and with important orchestras. His collaborations include those with high caliber artists such as Anna Tifu, Enrico Dindo, Jan Willem de Vriend, Christian Arming, Stefan Milenkovich, Ezio Bosso, Yves Abel, Conrad van Alphen, Paul Badura Skoda, Pavel Berman, etc etc. A pioneer for music of our time as well as traditional programme, his vast repertoire includes such pieces as the Ligeti piano concerto, and many premier works thanks to his close collaboration with composers e.g. Lera Auerbach, Walter Baco, etc.
Antonio Chen Guang started studying the piano at a very young age with his father. He has studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, at the Juilliard School in New York, followed by the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale di Imola where he was the youngest ever Artist Diploma recipient, and is now continuing his further education at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna with Lilya Zilberstein and Stefan Mendl.
Among his past teachers are Zhu Lianping, Zhao Pingguo, M.Raekallio, V.Ashkenazy, L.Margarius, P.Badura-Skoda, Andrea Bonatta, and his mentor Antonio Mormone.
He was supported by the Brenna Tosatto Foundation and the Lieven Piano School.
The first CD of Antonio Chen Guang was released by Steinway & Sons in 2020, dedicated to Bach, Brahms and Berg, receiving worldwide praise.
